<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door latch device which improves the quality of a vehicle and imparts to the vehicle an identity different from other vehicles, not by reducing sound pressure but by improving generated sound quality. <P>SOLUTION: According to the structure of the door latch device, a fork 14 is provided with an engaging section 23 which engages with a striker 12 when the door latch device shifts from an open mode to a half-latched mode, and an engaging section 24 which is engaged by a pole lever 15 when the door latch device is in the half-latched mode. Then a striking sound 1 generated upon abutting of the engaging section 23 and the striker 12 on each other, and a striking sound 2 generated upon abutting of the engaging section 24 and the pole lever 15 on each other is made larger than a striking sound 3 generated upon abutting of the pole lever 15 and a damper rubber 16 on each other, in a full-latched mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
