PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire releasing a gas generated accompanying with a decomposition reaction through a cover rubber layer when a sealant layer formed by decomposing a rubber by peroxide and the cover rubber covering the sealant layer are formed at the inner side of an inner liner layer. SOLUTION: In the pneumatic tire, the sealant layer 8 formed by decomposing the peroxide decompositon rubber by peroxide is arranged at the inner side of the inner liner layer 7 and the cover rubber layer 9 is laminated at the inner side of the sealant layer 7. Short fiber having length of 2-5 mm and thickness of 50-500μm is formulated in the cover rubber layer 9 at a ratio of 3-10 pt.wt. based on 100 pt.wt. of rubber. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
