PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera shake correcting device having simple structure, good in controllability and realizing rapid photographing preparation operation, and to provide a camera shake correcting method. SOLUTION: Relative shake between a subject and a digital single lens reflex camera 10 is detected by angular velocity sensors 25a, 25b and 25c in a camera body 11 through a lens frame module 12. The shake correction of an imaging system is performed by an imaging part position driving unit 23 based on signals from the angular velocity sensors 25a and 25b.
