PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor, having high and stable wear and scratch resistances extending to the interior portion of a surface layer, having proper electrical characteristics, and realizing enhanced image quality over a prolonged period of time, a method for manufacturing the electrophotographic photoreceptor, an image forming method using the long-lifetime and high performance photoreceptor, an image forming apparatus and a process cartridge for the image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor has on a conductive support, at least a photosensitive layer and a surface layer formed, by copolymerizing the trifunctional or higher functionality radical polymerizable monomer (a) having no charge transport structure and a radical polymerizable compound (b) having a charge transport structure by UV irradiation, wherein the surface layer is cured with a plurality of UV light sources different from each other in the emission wavelength. There are also provided the method for manufacturing the electrophotographic photoreceptor, the image forming method using the electrophotographic photoreceptor, the image forming apparatus and the process cartridge for the image forming apparatus.
