PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical illumination microscope, whose aperture stop diameter is automatically changed interlocking with objective lens change of a motor-driven revolver mounted with a plurality of objective lenses and also easily set for each of the plurality of objective lenses, compactly at low cost. SOLUTION: Aperture stop diameters corresponding to positions of selecting means corresponding to respective objective lens mount holes of the motor-driven revolver are set by the objectives mounted in the respective mount holes of the motor-driven revolver among previously stored aperture stop diameter data by optionally setting the respective selecting means to the arbitrary positions.
