PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a unit for wrapping a polyhedral packet (3) belonging to the major axis (5) which has two comparatively large side faces (6), two comparatively small faces or side faces and two end faces (8). SOLUTION: The packet is wrapped by a method including a process that the packet (3) wrapped initially with a tubular wrap (4') projected from the two end faces (8) is inserted into a holder (33) of a transporting wheel (12) so that two accessories (26) of the tubular wrap (4') projected at either end from a first side face (7) of the packet (3) become flat on the end faces (8). The accessories (26) are fixed immediately along substantially adjusting two lines (58) to the corner edges of the end faces (8) when the packet (3) is inserted into a corresponding holder (33) and are held stably at a predetermined position at the following process that single packet (3) is transported to a sending conveyor (15) from a supplying station (11).
