PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a molasses liquid having a flavor utilizing natural components without modifying a squeezed juice of sucrose. SOLUTION: A method for producing molasses comprises concentrating the squeezed juice of the sucrose without solidification. Soda ash, lime, etc., as a clarifying agent are added to the squeezed juice of the sucrose in conventional methods for production to remove materials such as minerals, free acids, proteins, pectin, pigments, gums or fibers as impurities. When the materials are not removed and heat treatment is carried out in a temperature region on the low temperature side of≤130°C, a phenomenon of non-solidification of the concentrated liquid even by cooling is utilized.
