The lock for a garge door can be locked from outside without a key. Otherwise this lock can be actuated from inside and outside. On leaving the garage the driver simply returns to lock the door without a key before proceeding on his journey. The outside handle (8) and inside handle (28) and inside handle (28) are connected by a stepped hollow shaft (7). One end of a double arm lever (38) engages with the groove (43) of the transverse catch (20). This lever rotates about a transverse axis within the cavity in the stepped shaft. The other end of this lever is rotated by a spring (33) loaded pin (32) actuated by the inside handle. The locking can be carried out from inside or outside by rotating the connected handles.
