<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coupling structure of optical device which can be thinned, and to provide an optical device and an electronic appliance having the coupling structure of optical device. <P>SOLUTION: In the coupling structure of optical device, a plug disposed on one end of an optical transmission medium is attached to a receptacle, thereby, optical coupling between the one end of the optical transmission medium and a prescribed optical element is achieved. The plug 2 is provided with a protrusion part 20 extended near the center along the longitudinal direction of the optical transmission medium 3 and notched parts 21 respectively disposed on both sides of the protrusion part. The receptacle 1 is provided with a substrate 10 which has the plug placed on one side surface side, a first positioning member 15 which is disposed on the one side surface side of the substrate and determines a position of the plug thickness direction by coming into contact with the notch parts while exposing the protrusion part of the plug and a second positioning member 11 which is disposed on the one side surface side of the substrate and determines a position of the direction crossing orthogonally to each of the plug thickness direction and the longitudinal direction of the optical transmission medium by coming into contact with the side part of the plug. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
