PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter element, or the like, which is not bulky, can be compactly conveyed, stored and disposed of. SOLUTION: This filter element includes a first filter wall surface 10, on which a second filter wall surface 20 is fixed along a linearly joining region 30. The first filter wall surface 10 is alternately folded inwardly and outwardly, and thereby, an outer folding ridge 11 and an inner folding ridge 12 are alternately formed. The second filter wall surface 20 is also alternately folded inwardly and outwardly as is the case with the first filter wall surface 10. Consequently, an inner folding ridge 21, an outer folding ridge 22 and wall surface body portions 24 and 25 between the folding ridges 21 and 22 are formed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
