PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in a conventional doorway device of an elevator wherein it is difficult to secure airtightness around a doorway at a landing since a clearance may occur between a seal member and a jamb when the product dimensional errors and installation errors of the door and the jamb at the landing are accumulated. SOLUTION: This doorway device of the elevator comprises a frame member 3 forming the doorway 2, a door body 1 opening and closing the doorway by reciprocatingly moving near the frame member, and the seal member closing the clearance between the frame member and the door body when the door is closed. The doorway device also comprises a contact part 31 formed on the opposite side of the face of the frame member facing the doorway along a direction perpendicular to the opening and closing direction of the door body and so formed that the clearance thereof from the door body is increased in a door body opening direction; and the seal member 5 installed at the door closing direction rear end part of the door body, projecting in the direction of the frame member and brought into contact with the contact part when the door is closed.
