PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output a clear image outside vehicle in regardless of intensity of illumination at the outside of the vehicle. SOLUTION: An image sensor 5 outputs the image outside vehicle as brightness data and DSP 7 produces a monochrome image signal showing a monochrome image outside the vehicle or a multi-color image signal showing a multi-color image utilizing the brightness data outputted from the image sensor 5. A central processing device 9 switches the image signal produced by DSP 7 to the monochrome image signal and the multi-color image signal according to the intensity of illumination outside the vehicle. Thereby, the clear image outside the vehicle can be always provided in no relation to the intensity of illumination outside the vehicle. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
