The invention relates to a welding stand (3) which is configured in order to weld a spiral joint (25) of a spiral tube (1). Said welding stand comprises a welding device (2) and a transport device which is used to transport the spiral tube (1) in relation to the welding device (2). According to the invention, the transport device is embodied as a tube transport carriage system (4) which can be displaced in the longitudinal direction, in relation to the welding device (2), with the spiral tube (1) which is arranged on the tube transport carriage system (4) for welding, in order to prevent defective welding points from appearing in the welded spiral joint (25).
