<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid polymer fuel cell and a fuel cell system of low cost, with high cell performance and excellent durability. <P>SOLUTION: The solid polymer fuel cell is provided with a membrane electrode assembly with an electrode jointed on both sides of an electrolyte membrane, and peroxide decomposing catalyst containing refractory carbonate fixed to the electrolyte membrane and/or the electrodes. Further, the system is provided with a solid polymer fuel cell, humidifying channels for supplying the solid polymer fuel cell with water and/or vapor and/or collecting water and/or vapor exhausted from the fuel cell, and peroxide decomposing catalyst containing refractory carbonate fixed to either of the humidifying channels. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
