PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a block for a side ditch, which facilitates construction work when the side ditch is constructed by forming a side plate in such a shape that the whole surface from an upside to a downside is a vertical surface with no irregularities, and which enables a height adjusting operation in construction to be easily performed, because a height adjusting fitting can be mounted. SOLUTION: In this block for the side ditch, which is provided at the side edge of a road, the right and left side plates are formed in such a shape that the whole surface from the upside to the downside is the vertical surface with no irregularities, and a top plate is integrally formed at the upper end of the side plate. The block for the side ditch is characterized in that a protrusive streak with a predetermined breadth is provided on the lower outside of the side plate and at least at both the longitudinal ends of the side plate.
