PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for use in a microwave oven which allows a content in the container made of a metal to be heated in the microwave oven without generating a spark or the like, offers high gas barrier properties and fine heat conductivity, prevents the container from being damaged to avoid the loss of the content and soiling of the microwave oven, and has a simple structure. SOLUTION: The container 3 is made of a material including a layer of a metal 2, and is provided with a spark preventive member at the center 4a of the outer surface of the bottom 4 of the container 3. The spark preventive member 5 is made of a resin having a loss factor (ε×tanδ) of 0.001 or smaller and a softening temperature of 100°C or higher, has a height of 3.5 mm or greater, and has a sectional area that is 1% of the bottom area of the container or larger and is 20 mm<SP>2</SP>or larger. This spark preventive member 5 prevents the generation of a spark or the like between the layer of metal 2 and the microwave oven in such a simple structure that the spark preventive member 5 is provided at the center 4a of the outer surface of the bottom 4 of the container 3.
