PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide dynamic setting of scanning setting with which storage capacity can be saved since a file size corresponding to a file becomes adjustable and selectable. SOLUTION: A document input system has a means of managing a plurality of scanning setting information corresponding to folders, a means of generating the scanning setting information, and a means of reporting scanning setting information corresponding to a specified folder to an MFP at a request from the MFP.
