The device for the conversion of rotational movement into a reciprocating movement has a rotatably mounted drive component (2) with a helical-form slot (6) of zigzag cross section in a co-axial cylindrical inner surface (4), an axially movable driven component (16), and a transmission component immovably connected to the driven component and by an axially symmetrical outer face (10) engaging in the slot in the inner surface of the drive component. The transmission component is a disc-form wheel which is mounted on a pin (14) which is fixed at an angle in or on the driven component.
