PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably remove a foreign matter without damaging an alignment layer even when the foreign matter is adhered to a tape or the like. SOLUTION: A liquid organic coating film is applied onto the alignment layer in a step S21. The organic coating film encloses the foreign matter on the alignment layer. A tape for removing dust is stuck to the organic coating film (a step S23) after the organic coating film is dried (a step S22). The tape is pressed to the organic coating film by a roller in a step S24. Even if a foreign matter is adhered to the tape when the tape is pressed, the damage of the alignment layer is prevented by the function of the organic coating film as a buffer material. When the tape is peeled, the organic coating film is peeled from the alignment layer and the foreign matter on the alignment layer is removed in the peeling process in a step S25. |
