Catheter insertion device comprises a movable arm for positioning a catheter needle in a part of the body and a guide for inserting the needle in a direction parallel to a predetermined direction. Independent claims are also included for: (1) mold that can be placed against or around a part of the body and has openings through which needles can be inserted, where the mold is anatomically shaped like the body part; (2) set of differently sized moulds as above.
