Pelletiesed dairy cattle feedstuff composed of molasses bound in hot air to a carrier substance, the hot air fed in from above as it flows along the same way as the substances, though the hot air flow is sealed off from gas or vapour access. The hot air flow producing the mixture is diverted several times and run through a rising path and then a descending path where it is allowed to expand so that the molasses and binder are once again united. Two parallel feeds should be provided at the entry to the drying container where mixing takes place. Thus air is fed exclusively through one feed and molasses and binder through the other. |
