PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display operating instructions on a sheet-shaped electronic paper, which is thin and lightweight, and allows power saving. SOLUTION: An electronic music device acquires electronic manual data that are the operating instructions of equipment or software related to this electronic music device, and displays a desired part of the operating instructions on the electronic paper, based on the electronic manual data. Moreover, the electronic music device displays operating instruments of a part related to the operated operation device or function, by referring to corresponding information according to the operation of the operation device. When the operating instructions for the equipment or the software related to the device are displayed on the electronic paper in this manner, it is possible to make power consumption small, and also display which is gentle to eyes of a user, and which is easy to see can be provided. Moreover, since the device is configured to display the operating instructions of the related part according to the operation of the operation device, the user is allowed to readily refer to the parts where related explanation are described, while operating the operation device whose operating instructions are desired to be looked at.
