PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stirring drying device capable of preventing the reduction of cracking effect by fluidization of a material, and efficiently drying the material when the material of massed particles or the like is dried by using the stirring drying device wherein a heated gas is supplied from an air blowing chamber to a stirring chamber through a gas dispersion plate, and the material supplied to the stirring chamber is dried while stirred in a fluidized state. SOLUTION: A flow rate adjusting plate is mounted between a spatial portion of the air blowing chamber positioned at a lower portion of a material take-out opening, and a spatial portion on a side of a gas introduction opening of the air blowing chamber, and two spatial portions are partially partitioned by the flow rate adjusting plate. According to this constitution, a cracking zone reduced in fluidization of the material is formed by reducing the quantity of a heated gas blown up from the gas dispersion plate near the material take-out portion, in comparison with that of the other portion. According to this invention provided with the cracking zone, the material can be sufficiently stirred and cracked in the cracking zone, and the reduction of cracking effect caused by the fluidization can be reduced.
