<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera which displays information on an image so as not to obstruct a reproduced image. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic camera includes an ordinary display mode and an abbreviation display mode in order to display, on a color liquid crystal display 24, a reproduced image of image data recorded on a recording medium 27. During the abbreviation display mode, indications of items relating to a setting state of exposure correction, a focal distance of a photographing lens and a use state of a flash light in photographic information data are abbreviated to reduce display items of the photographic information data, and items displayable on a monochromatic liquid crystal display 31 are displayed not on the color liquid crystal display 24 but on the monochromatic liquid crystal display 31. Thus, characters or the like to be displayed while overlapping on the reproduced image can be reduced, thereby easily knowing contents of the reproduced image displayed on the color liquid crystal display 24. During the ordinary display mode, a group of characters indicating all the items of the photographic information data corresponding to the relevant image data is displayed on the color liquid crystal display 24 while superimposed on the reproduced image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
