摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To design a supply/exhaust method of the fuel gas and air of a fuel cell by using an evaluation function capable of being obtained only from the simulation of a flow field without simulating the cell performance of the fuel cell causing a large calculation load. <P>SOLUTION: This design method comprises steps of: making a suggestion for the supply/exhaust method of air of the fuel cell; and obtaining an evaluation function: 1/&Delta;&mu;<SP>2</SP>being an inverse number of the standard deviation &Delta;&mu;<SP>2</SP>of the distribution of speed components parallel to an electrolyte of the air standardized by the average of the speed components of the air parallel to the electrolyte of the fuel cell for the suggested supply/exhaust method of the air. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
