PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a trifluoromethyl group-containing enamine and 3,3,3-trifluoropropionic aldehyde which are each useful as an intermediate for medicines and agrochemicals and as a production raw material or a synthetic intermediate for functional materials such as fluorine-containing polymer in an industrial scale. SOLUTION: 1-Halogeno-3,3,3-trifluoropropene is reacted with a cyclic secondary amine to produce the trifluoromethyl group-containing enamine. Morpholine, piperidine, etc., is particularly preferably used as the cyclic secondary amine. The trifluoromethyl group-containing enamine is hydrolyzed in the presence of of an acid to provide the 3,3,3-trifluoropropionic aldehyde. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
