PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an rice cooker which can be washed in a state that a lid is attached or detached, and in which the pressure regulation of a pressure valve on the lid side can be operated electrically from the side of a container body. SOLUTION: This electric pressure rice cooker is provided with: the container body 2; the attachable and detachable lid 1 for opening and closing the container 2; a cooked rice container 3 for cooking rice by heating it within the container body 2 in the state of closing the lid 2; and a heating means 4 for heating. An actuator 31 operating electrically is provided on the side of the container body 2 to make the actuator 31 carry out pressure regulation operation of the pressure valve 33 of a steam path 32 for releasing steam in the rice container 3 provided on the side of the lid 1 to outside.
