PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting unit which enables the supply of a widely spreading light emitting decoration by controlling the directivity of the light emitted from the light emitting element and a game machine with it. SOLUTION: The lighting unit 31 is provided with electric decoration boards 86, 88 and 90 respectively having LEDs 87, 89 and 91 mounted on it, a lens member 84 having a lens like protrusion 84f on one surface, a lens member 85 having lens like protrusions 85e and 85f on each surface thereof and a decoration cover 83. The lens members 84 and 85 are disposed in layers respectively between the electric decoration boards 86, 88 and 90 and the decoration cover 83 to make the lights from the LEDs 87, 89 and 91 diffuse sequentially.
