PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide stable sheet feed constantly by eliminating instability at the time of starting contact between a sheet feed roller and loaded sheets independent of the amount of the loaded sheets on a pressure plate, and reducing irregularity of distance between sheets in a sheet feed method using the half-moon shaped sheet feed roller and the pressure plate. SOLUTION: Sheets are not fed in a circumferential range of a low-friction coefficient portion 31b even when sheet is brought into contact with the sheet feed roller 31 in case of either fully loaded sheets or one piece of sheet, and a sheet feed action is started at the time of moving to the contact with a high friction coefficient portion 31a so that the position in which the sheet feed action by the high-friction coefficient portion 31a is started may be identical, and the distance to feed and carry sheets may be identical by having the low-friction coefficient portion 31b which has the arc-shaped range for covering from the contact start portion B in which the sheets P are fully loaded to the contact start portion D of the one piece of sheet P on the pressure plate 32 and does not have a sheet feed action which is connected with the circumferential range of a high-friction coefficient portion 31a on the sheet feed roller 31.
