The coolant then passes through the annular space between the cores and the cylinder, and through radial grooves 9 in the cores to ducts 10 and radial openings 11 leading to an outlet passage 3. As a modification the two cores may be replaced by a single member having a plurality of centrally disposed passages. A pair of such rollers may be employed as feed rollers in a ribbon type glass bulb blowing machine to form a ribbonshaped glass blank from molten glass supplied thereto.
