PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the real time property in recording contents on a DVD and to record much more contents even if the forced end of recording processing occurs. SOLUTION: There are provided: a video object generating part 104 for generating VOBU containing Navigation not containing search information or the like based on input video data; a video object recording part 105 for recording on a disc 114; an ending time information and search information detecting part 106 for detecting search information or the like; a video object information detecting part 110 for detecting video object information; an ending time information and search information generating part 108 for generating Navigation containing the detected search information or the like when one VOB is completely recorded; an ending time information and search information recording unit 107 for recording Navigation on the disc 114; a management information generating part 112 for generating VTSI or the like; and a management information recording part 113 for recording on the disc 114.
