<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a phosphor having neither reduction in brightness by plasma exposure nor reduction in brightness by vacuum ultraviolet exposure. <P>SOLUTION: The phosphor contains Eu as an activator in a compound represented by general formula 3(M<SP>1</SP>O)-m(M<SP>2</SP>O)-n(M<SP>3</SP>O<SB>2</SB>) (M<SP>1</SP>is one or more kinds selected from the group consisting of Ca, Sr and Ba; M<SP>2</SP>is one or more kinds selected from the group consisting of Mg and Zn; M<SP>3</SP>is one or more kinds selected from the group consisting of Si and Ge; m is a value ≥1 and ≤1.5; n is a value of ≥2 and ≤2.6; m+n is a value of >3). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
