PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake control system capable of carrying out initial checking so that an actuator does not work. SOLUTION: This brake control system is furnished with two switching elements 52, 53 on an initial checking function part and detects burnout failure of the actuator 80 by only switching on one of the two switching elements 52, 53. Consequently, an electric current for driving is not made to flow to the actuator 80 at the time of initial checking and it is possible to carry out the initial checking without working the actuator 80. In this way, it is possible to prevent occurrence of a problem of a rush current generated in working the actuator 80 for a short period of time and a problem that the switching elements 52, 53 are broken by making it possible to carry out the initial checking without working the actuator 80.
