PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tray which prevents scratch due to vibration in a transport process, handling, etc., and reduces the number of sheets stacked, without altering the shape of the tray (altering a photographic device), and to provide a sheet-like image recording material package. SOLUTION: In the tray for sheet-like image recording materials comprising a rectangular first bottom part, on which sheet-like image recording materials are stacked and sidewalls for regulating the position of the sheet-like image recording materials raised from the peripheral edges of the first bottom part, a flat plate member, comprising a second bottom part having a rectangular flat surface and sidewalls on the peripheral edges of the flat surface is set above the first bottom part, in such a way that the back side of the flat surface and the first bottom part confront each other, a buffer member is put in a space made by the back side of the second bottom part and the first bottom part, and the sheetlike image recording materials are stacked on the front side of the second bottom part.
