PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric kettle with excellent handleability in which both of a hot water supply position and a hot water supply amount are easy to recognize. SOLUTION: In a housing container with ventilation, the hot water supply position is indicated by illuminating the mounting surface C of a cooking container A which is a hot water arriving position with first irradiation light D before supplying hot water and the water level surface of the cooking container A is illuminated with the second irradiation light E of a wider irradiation range than the first irradiation light D after starting the hot water supply. Thus, the hot water supply position is easily recognized before supplying the hot water, and the hot water supply amount is easily recognized after starting the hot water supply.
