<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact optical pickup device wherein the information is appropriately recordable and/or reproducible with respect to an optical information recording medium having different recording density by using luminous flux of different wavelengths. <P>SOLUTION: Since the luminous flux of wavelength λ1 and the luminous flux of wavelength λ2 are arranged so as to be made incident to an objective lens OBJ in the state of divergent or convergent luminous flux, a condensing optical system can be constituted to be more simple, and a degree of freedom on a design of the objective lens can be increased. Further, since a housing H in which a 1st semiconductor laser LD1, 2nd semiconductor laser LD2, condensing optical system and photodetector PD are fixedly housed, is arranged to be driven by a driving device DD so as to move in the direction perpendicular to an optical axis of the objective lens OBJ, the optical axis of the luminous flux incident to the objective lens OBJ can be aligned with the optical axis of the objective lens OBJ even though a tracking operation is carried out, thereby an occurrence of coma aberration can be effectively suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
