<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of realizing high-quality image-forming by making toner on the outer peripheral surface of a developing roller uniform from the beginning in the case of restarting the image-forming even when standby time is short. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus equipped with a developing cartridge 37 for developing an electrostatic latent image on a photoreceptor drum 32a, the developing roller 42 of the developing cartridge 37k in which black (K) toner is stored is idly rotated to supply/refresh the toner on its outer peripheral surface 42a after finishing the image forming operation and before starting the next image forming operation when the image data of a final page shows the image formed of the black (K) toner on the rear end side of recording paper. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
