摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve high efficient discharge characteristics, cycle life characteristics, and storage characteristics by using secondary particle powder formed by aggregation of primary particles of lithium manganate as lithium manganate and carbon fiber. SOLUTION: Carbon fiber compound of graphite having the fiber diameter approximately 10 μm and the fiber length approximately 20 μm is added to a mixture of electrolytic manganese dioxide and lithium carbonate at the rate of 10 wt.% and mixed till uniformized to prepare a mixture. The mixture is preliminarily baked and then baked in real scale. The powder obtained is cooled to the room temperature, pulverized by an automatic mortar, screened, and particles of the grain size 50 μm or more are removed. Lithium manganate formed thereby is used for a positive electrode active material. Lithium manganate is the powder of secondary particles formed by aggregation of primary particles (0.5-5 μm) of the lithium manganate on the carbon fiber, the mean grain size is approximately 25 μm, and this constitution can improve the electron conductivity.
