Method and means for imaging a printing plate

The method involves generating sequence of laser pulses corresponding to image areas to be formed on printing form such as printing plate. An amplifier amplifying the sequence of pulses is discharged in a controlled manner by additional pulse corresponding to non-image area of printing form, to prevent self excitation of interference pulses of amplifier. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) printing form imaging device; (2) printing material processing machine; and (3) plate setter.
