The device has picture units with image carrier units, where surface filmstrips (2) are pictured on the carrier units. The filmstrips are produced from two-dimensional charts according to a parallax reproduction principle. A reproduction system reproduces the filmstrips of the respective carrier units depending on a viewing angle. A surface of the carrier units transverse to the longitudinal direction of the strips is semi-circular.
