The proposed method of borehole seismology consists in exciting seismic vibrations according to a special scheme, determining the vibration parameters by a three-component probe with its arbitrary orientation, processing the data so obtained, and carrying out the simulation. The method is distinctive by setting at least three geological profiles that cross the borehole, and determining, for each profile, several points of the excitation of seismic vibrations that are located at specified distances from the borehole mouth. At each point of registration, where the probe is installed, seismic vibrations are recorded that come from the different excitation points that are equally spaced from the recording points. The obtained data, existing geophysical information, and simulation results are used to determine the parameters that characterize the anisotropy of the geological section.
