<p>Tyre having a reinforcement insert between the carcase and the tread is provided with at least one textile insert, which extends between or over the layers of the reinforcement and which extends laterally beyond the reinforcement to at least about half the height of the side wall but which is not anchored in the rims of the tyre. The textile insert has thinner threads, or less tensile strength, than the carcase, and serves to retain the reinforcement in position.</p> |
