Electrode wire for cast iron welding

摘要

A wire jacket of low-carbon steel is filled with a powder consisting of (% by wt. of the wire) graphite (5.2-7.8%), ferrosilicon (1.3-6.7%) and ferromanganese (0-3.7%), and contains sufficient silicon-calcium (pref. 5.6-17%) to obtain weld material with modular graphite. Application is to welding modified cast iron, mending casting faults, repairing products of high-strength and grey pig iron and welding wear-resistant cast iron layers.
