An orthopedic mattress contains a base with additional layers of coconut coir, latex and cotton cloth covered with a casing. The base is made of a monolith latex unit of improved elasticity which is separated into seven rigidity areas. The latex unit is provided with perforations. On the one side the latex unit is provided with additional layers of latex and coconut coir, the thickness of each of which is at least 25% from the thickness of the base. The layers on the different sides of the mattress are made as those of non-symmetrical structure and correspondingly have a different rigidity.
