<p>An encoder is provided with a rotating plate, a first processor and a second processor. The rotating plate is provided with a code pattern. The code pattern has a plurality of slits, which are arranged at intervals in a rotating direction of the rotating plate. The first processor is provided with a first light emitting part, which projects light to the code pattern, a first light receiving part, which generates a signal in response to the rotation of the rotating plate by receiving the light that passed through the code pattern from the first light emitting part, and a first processing circuit part, which processes the signal from the first light receiving part. The second processor is provided with a second light emitting part, which projects light to the code pattern, and a second light receiving part, which generates a signal in response to the rotation of the rotating plate by receiving the light that passed through the code pattern from the second light emitting part, and a second processing circuit part, which processes the signal from the second light receiving part.</p> |
