A container for packaging multiple goods has a pre-glued base flap construction creating a pre-sealed base that has no requirement for taping, stapling or additional gluing at the point of erecting for filling. The rectangular container body thus formed has an open top that enables loading of goods up to the level of a peripheral crease line (12) extending around the body parallel to the base. The container is adapted to be closed by urging apart the upper portions (15a) of two opposed vertical end walls (15) of the body disposed above the crease line (12) such that they fold to form triangular end flaps that extend downwardly alongside the lower portions (15b) of the end walls (15) disposed below the crease line (12) and such that the upper portions (17a) of the opposed vertical side walls (17) of the body disposed above the crease line (12) are thereby caused to form side flaps which fold towards each other to provide a lid for the container body above the packed goods. |
