METHOD OF PROCESSING ELECTRICALLY CONDUCTIVE WORKPIECE AND COMBINED PROCESSING APPARATUS

A combined processing apparatus (2) has a work stand (18) for fixing a workpiece (4), a jet nozzle (6) for jetting high-pressure water toward the workpiece, a wire electrode (8), and upper and lower wire guides for vertically supporting the wire electrode. The jet nozzle and the upper wire guide can move between their operation positions at which the workpiece can be cut and their sheltered positions separated from the operation positions. The workpiece fixed to the work stand is cut to a required shape by water jet processing and finished to required high processing accuracy with the workpiece fixed to the work stand.
