PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure and a method for joining a steel pipe pile and a steel-frame column together, which enable the reuse of a building material for constituting a foundation section. SOLUTION: In the structure for joining the steel pipe pile 1 and the steel-frame column 2 together, a pile head section 3 of the pile 1 and a column base section 4 of the column 2 arranged directly on the pile 1 are joined together. A cylindrical ring panel 5 with a larger cross-sectional shape than cross-sectional shapes of the head section 3 and the base section 4 is interposed between the head section 3 and base section 4. The head section 3 and the base section 4 are each provided by being inserted into the ring panel 5 in a state in which a gap is made between them, and a filler 7 for fixing each of the head section 3 and the base section 4 in the ring panel 5 is infilled into the ring panel 5.
