PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding throttle valve type throttle body including a fuel injection valve facing an end of a sliding throttle valve, which improves operability and exhaust gas characteristic by preventing blow-back fuel from building up in a fuel discharge hole into which a tip of a fuel injection valve inserted by being bored in a lower position of an intake passage. SOLUTION: An intake passage 11 is opened/closed by a sliding throttle valve type throttle valve 13 traversing the intake valve 11. While a fuel injection valve J is arranged facing an end 13a of a sliding throttle valve 13, a tip Ja of the fuel injection valve J is inserted into and arranged in a fuel discharge hole 16 disposed in the lower position of the intake passage 11 and opened to an intake passage 11b on downstream side. In a throttle body 10, a scavenging passage 1 is bored, whose downstream side 1a is opened to the inside of the fuel discharge hole 16 and whose upstream side 1b is opened to an intake passage 11a on the upper end from the sliding throttle valve 13.
