PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waveguide type optical multiplexing/demultiplexing circuit suitable for a system in which the central wavelength spacing and the passband width of output are different such as a one-fiber three-wavelength multiplex communication system. SOLUTION: This waveguide type optical multiplexing/demultiplexing circuit 1 is structured such that a first AWG 2 and two or more second AWGs 3 arranged in parallel are combined and that, among light signals inputted/outputted between the first array waveguide type diffraction grating circuit and each of the second array waveguide type diffraction grating circuits, the light signals of only the prescribed number of wavelengths are combined to be inputted/outputted between the first AWG 2 and each circuit of the second AWGs 3.
